DIPLOMA PROCEDURE

The student of the last semester of studies is obliged to prepare a diploma thesis as part of the subject leading to the preparation of the diploma thesis and to enter the diploma thesis into the Academic Works Archiving System operating at the PK (hereinafter referred to as ASAP PK).

Supervisor

The first step is to select the supervisor and verify his/her availability until the date specified by the Department. The list of supervisors as well as the date of enrollment to supervisors are available on the www.L7.pk.edu.pl website in the tab: "For students" - "Preparation of the diploma thesis"

Selection of the thesis topic

The next step is to choose the topic of the thesis together with the supervisor. The final topic selection should be made by the end of the penultimate semester of studies. The list of proposed topics is presented in the tab: "For students" - "Preparation of the diploma thesis"

Preparation of the thesis

The diploma thesis should be prepared according to the arrangements and instructions aligned with the supervisor. The thesis ought to be consistent with the information provided during the diploma seminars as well as in accordance with the guidelines posted on the www.L7.pk.edu.pl website in the tab: "For students" - "Preparation of the diploma thesis"

The title of the thesis

After determining the final title of the diploma thesis in Polish with the supervisor, the student is obliged to translate it into English. Before submitting the diploma thesis, the correctness of the title in English must be approved. For this purpose, the title of the thesis should be sent electronically by logging to the „tytulpracy.wil.pk.edu.pl” (this step does not apply to students studying in English). The verified title of the diploma thesis is entered by the student on the title page of the thesis and in the „Declaration of the choice of the thesis topic” (template of such declaration can be found on the www.wil.pk.edu.pl website in the tab: "Dla studentów" - "Przebieg dyplomowania").

After verifying the title of the thesis in English, the student is obliged to prepare the title page of the thesis. The title page template can be found on the www.L7.pk.edu.pl website in the tab "For students" - "Diploma exam". The thesis title page must contain the Polish as well as the English title of the thesis.

Entering the thesis into the ASAP system

The entire thesis (with the title page and all attachments) must be uploaded into the ASAP anti-plagiarism system after the supervisor's decision confirming the completion of the thesis. The ASAP procedure is available at www.antyplagiat.pk.edu.pl website.

Submission of the thesis to the Dean’s Office

The thesis should be submitted in the requested form and according to the dean’s office requirements listed on the www.wil.pk.edu.pl website (in a pandemic situation, a paper form is not required). The thesis is considered complex only if the supervisors’ approval in ASAP system has been added. After the supervisors’ approval in the ASAP system, the supervisor and the reviewer are obliged to give the grade for the diploma thesis. The final grade from the thesis is entered into the exam protocol.

Submission of documents to the Dean's Office

The student provides the documents required for the diploma examination to the dean's office. The set of documents should be prepared in accordance with the guidelines placed on the www.wil.pk.edu.pl website in the tab: "Dla studentów" - "Przebieg dyplomowania".

Preparing a presentation

Before taking the diploma examination, the student is obliged to prepare a presentation. The template and guidelines for the presentation have been placed on the www.L7.pk.edu.pl website in the tab: "For students" - "Diploma exam".

Diploma examination

The student registers for the diploma examination using the registration form which is available at the www.L7.pk.edu.pl website in the tab: "For students". Information about the exact date and place of the diploma exam will be announced on the website www.L7.pk.edu.pl, approximately one week before the scheduled exam date.

Failure to undertake the diploma examination

A student who has registered for the exam and does not participate it on the indicated date (e.g. due to failure to meet the formal requirements, lack of credits, etc.), is obliged to immediately inform the supervisor about this fact, but no later than 7 days before the scheduled date of the exam.
